Dometic ice maker troubleshooting
Well, by gosh, I find on the wiring diagram, they splice into the wires and run both of the switch wires up to the Ice Maker control board. From what I can figure, they defeat the ice maker from working when the door is open. Pulling the 4 pin connector from the Ice Maker Board, the Freezer Fan starts running and the Test shows the door closed now.The power plug has 4 male round pins in a vertical alignment with the top three female ends and the bottom male. It mounts to the plate with 3 small screws in the bottom. Two screws in the front by the head and one in the center close to the rear. This ice maker is made by Frigidaire for the Dometic RV refrigerator freezer ice maker. Drill a 23/32" (19mm) hole for sensor. Use the 2 lock nuts provided to secure sensor into the hole. Use marine-grade sealant around the hole if desired. (Remember that the unit may have to be removed at some time.) Route the cable to the ice maker’s electrical box and plug the end into the ice-bin sensor socket.
