You want to leave 4 hours early and you put in PPTO for 4 hours but you clock out 2 minutes before the 4 hour mark (leaving 4 hours and 2 minutes early)...you will get the points because you didn't allot enough time to cover that extra 2 minutes. There's a reason you can leave and do whatever you want on lunch. You are also scheduled 8 hours explicitly stated as your shift. So if you work 4, using 5 hours of PPTO means you're missing 5 hours of your shift, which would be 9. Actually if you don't have enough or any Protected PTO but put it in the PTO as a PPTO request it will pull whatever you have in your PPTO account and then pull the remainder from your PTO and therefore the system will automatically approve it, because it sees it as a PPTO request.
